Studio Etiquette

First Timers

If it is your first time at the studio, please arrive at least 10 minutes before class starts so we can make sure that you are acquainted with the studio. We can’t wait to meet you!

Punctuality

Plan to be on your mat at the designated class time. The doors will be locked shortly after class starts.

Personal Items

Cubbies, shoe racks, and coat racks are provided for personal belongings. The door is locked at the beginning of class for safety. Yoga Shala Everett is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Props

We have blocks, bolsters, and blankets available for use at the studio, however you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Please plan to bring a mat towel and hand towel if you will need to use them.

Yoga Mats

Please bring your own mat if possible, but we do have a handful of mats to borrow.

Shoes

Remove your shoes before entering the practice space.

Silence Your Devices

Please.

Hygiene

Be mindful about hygiene; this includes strong fragrances. We provide a yoga mat cleaner that you may use to spray your mat with after class - please do not use the eucalyptus towels for this.

Aromas

The studio diffuses eucalyptus essential oil. During our seasonal candlelit yin classes, we use non-scented tealights.

Stay for the Entire Class

Plan to stay for the entire class; we will end on time. If you have to leave early please let the teacher know and place your mat by the door so you can leave quietly.

Eucalyptus Towels

At the end of class the teacher may hand you a cold towel scented with eucalyptus essential oil that you can unroll and place on the forehead; please do not use them to clean yourself or props with. If you don’t want a towel just let the teacher know.
